Hello Mikhail.C aka oomnine! Coodoes for your work! I just want to clear up a question about the use of this file pack. Is it for the Trial or Demo version of Halo: Combat Evolved or is it for the Full Game version? As it happens I have both the demo for HCE and the full game so I have open options. But. I would like to save myself time by applying it to the correct version the first time if you know what I mean. Thanks again! From a loyal fan of all game modders!

Thank you Mod DB for fixing whatever was interfering with the mirror selector link so that I could not use it on my screen! I was able to find and download the mod/trial game files with no further problems!

Whatever the problem was I have no idea. All I do know is that I didn't have any problem this time. So.. Thank you all for your service and for
giving us options for downloading files we are interested in that you offer us.

I don't know how many other people on the site have noticed but I only see one person who is blowing a top over posts here about this mod or trial or whatever it is.. And for as many slams and cursings this person has posted the spamming flag should be applied to the posts they are putting up. No one here deserves to be called names or abused like this! There is litterally no justification for anyone on this site to slam anyone for posting a question or to curse at anyone here for ANY reason. The moderators should be blacklisting anyone who calls another user by any kind of slanged cursewords. There is no reason for it. It is hateful and causes discontent resulting in an unwelcoming environment and if I understood ModDB posting policies. It violates those policies. Very uncool..

Uh.. I have no idea what you are referring to about my antivirus being rogue.. I was referring to "TRUSTED" sites.. Sites that don't allow malware or other software to be added to downloads through their sites.. I was not referring to there being any relationship with whatever kind of antivirus or antimalware program anyone is useing.. I was making a comparison to the fact that this site does not allow such activities so I was asking if they, or other users of this site, knew of another source for this trial software that could be trusted as a download source. Hate to say it Gabrieloup. But just where and when did you go blind to simple details? It was a simple question that had nothing to do with anyone's choice in antivirus or antimalware program.

Thank you for your response. Not relevant since I am in the USA and am actually a registered member of Gamefront. I have down loaded a number of files, patches, mods, and such from that site over the years. I don't know what is happening with their site but over the last year to year and a half they are having more and more issues. It seems to have started since Internet Explorer 7.0 came out and has continued with IE 8. I have not tried IE 9 because I am running XP and 9 does not support XP.

Been there done that. I was logged into Moddb at the time and the only download link that came up was Gamefront. It would be nice if Moddb would put their servers up as first choice and external mirrors up as options because I trust their servers more than externals like Gamefront anyway.

Apparently Gamefront is still down or having major problems loading. Are there any other Non-Malware/Non-Spyware sites that we can download this mod from? Thanks

WOW! Both look great! I live in Albuquerque, NM and we have the Ospreys flying over all the time. All of the ones they have here are the matt grey camo paint like on the super cobra so they don't look as cool as this one in the greens and brown. Watching the real ones transition from helo to plane and back is a real sight to see as they fly over. It's been a while since I played HL1 or the other earlier HL games so I don't remember if that feature of an Osprey in flight is featured or not.

It looks like some of the mapping is missing so they are loosing texture support on their shoulders. Should be a minor fix.

Well... Gamefront dropped the ball again. And. Now, after at least 3 or 4 tries IE won't even open the website page! Apparently their servers have gone completely down. Guess I will have to try for these files in a few days unless I can get on the moddb servers??

Well... GAMEFRONT DID IT AGAIN! This time, and it REALLY PEEZZED ME OFF too, the download was at 1.48gb of 1.60gb and I thought I was getting off lucky since it appeared to be doing just fine and was downloading at over a mb per second so I got up and went to get a drink and a bite to eat. I was gone about 6 minutes or so. Came back and it was STILL showing 1.48gb out of 1.60gb... I switched pages to Gamefront and sure enough... They had dropped my connection! THAT SITE SUCKS! When I tried the download again I am glad to say, and thank you while I am at it, I was given the direct download link to moddb! THANK YOU! I got the whole download, in much less time even though it was running just under 1mb per second. I am also downloading the patches.

I don't know what is going on with Gamefront but every other file I try to download runs into a site crash issue. My IE 8.0 is resetting the site using compatibility mode when it happens the first time and it crashes immediately and a message comes up saying that the site can not be accessed.. Sounds like server issues?? Any one got any suggestions? Or better yet. Are the files availiable from any other sources? Thanks!
