Look, I'm not here to argue about anyone's creativity, but, as you may have noticed, there are 9, NINE, Clone Wars mods for EaW. Released or un-released, it doesn't matter. Thing is, developers need to start thinking about NEW, FRESH ideas for mods. I, for example, can't stand YET ANOTHER mod based on the TV show(s). Seriously, I've seen more Munificent-Class ships in Moddb that I've seen Star Destroyers, and that isn't good. Not good AT ALL. Sure, KoTOR and the Galactic Civil War eras have many mods already, but then again, Star Wars has a HUUUUGE mythology, with thousands of years documented! Is it too much to ask for, as an example, a Hyperspace War mod? Or a Legacy Mod (there's already one of those, tough. It's awesome, but there's a lot of potential in that particular era of SW history.) with Cade Skywalker, Darth Krayt, Antares Draco and the huge, awesome fleets that we saw on the comics? And what about those ground battles? Alright, and what about one during the First or the New Sith Wars? Anyway, it is also possible ((although difficult) to make a completely "new game", i.e. do it in another universe, like Starship Troopers or Mass Effect. Bottom line is: The Clone Wars HAVE been overused. It's time to move on. Let mods like RaW or The Clone Wars update their mods and that's it. Two are enough (Rule of Two, anyone?).
P.S. One day, a KoTOR campaign MUST be made.
Yea i agree. Many people making clone wars mods have very little creativity. They can always make up something else.
Exactly. I mean, sure TCW are nice, but is it too much to ask for some variation?
As soon as another good era-mod is released George Lucas will be sure to **** on it. ;)
But I agree, people need to stop competing and help out the existing mods or make new things, a unit-overhaul mod would be excellent, high popcap (10 is a WTF?!?! number),more diverse infantry, more real damage (infantry killing tanks "WTF?!?!"). A real battlefield strategy game. instead of rock paper scissors.
I agree with you. Just because someone has a "space bazuka" it doesn't mean he can take down a fighter.
