Thank you for the kind words! Unfortunately, there are some flashes and effects that are embedded into the cutscene video files that cannot be removed at all. For the bullet time flash and others like it, you can try deleting the other .ifx files in common.rpf/data/imagefx, but you should know this can have unintended side effects.

I also use the cutscene skip mod and it's pretty great (other than some crashing and odd glitches), but I'm going to keep this mod as is because I don't want to use other people's hard work, and I'd like to keep it as simple as possible.

Download and install OpenIV from: Openiv.com
Point it to your Max Payne 3 directory when prompted.
Then use the package installer to install the OIV package.
Youtube has tutorials. I found a tutorial for installing OIV packages here: Youtube.com

I had the same curiosity every year myself lol. After having done some GTA 5 modding, I decided to look into it. Don't worry, this mod only touches the visual glitches and screen effects, nothing gameplay related. The game still plays the same.
