Chris Wickham is a 23-year-old composer, songwriter and classical singer from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and a graduate of BA (Hons) Music at the University of Southampton. Chris has developed an interest in media composition and contemporary classical composition. His work is based on natural processes and imagery, ideas he conveys through juxtaposition between romantic timbres and enigmatic, discordant harmonies. The 23-year-old’s desire to reflect nature and extra-dimensional ideas stems from his aspiration to score music for the moving image. He has worked on a professional portfolio of film and game pieces, and several amateur projects. Under the tutelage of Dr. Andrew Fisher and Dr. Ben Oliver, Chris has learnt to exploit the timbral possibilities of each instrument to their potentials and use these effectively in a number of different scenarios. His analytical nature and keep musical ear allows him to absorb any style of music and compose in a pastiche style.
