I can confirm that the same problem happens with me; the Previous version+patch worked just fine, but when I installed this version and the patch, it refuses to start up. I know that it's a problem related with the mod itself, because unmodded X3ap works just fine, Plugin manager included and scrips included.
The movie isn't the issue either; -nointro was added, still crashes on startup.
I have the steam version, by the way, so It may be an issue related to the steam executable file since steam doesn't like it when that's changed, either that or the new steam update with the UI scrambled things about.
