UFO: Alien Invasion is an excellent modernized remake of the classic X-COM games, however it also goes beyond it's predecessor and adds some great new features. I highly enjoyed the aliens surprising me by attacking my base in my first game, and killing my unprepared team. Many modern gamers would criticise the difficulty on harder settings, but I am a firm believer in the Dwarf Fortress philosophy of defeat, Losing is Fun. I also like the feature of being able to equip your soldiers prior to leaving the base, and their loadouts continuing between missions. I only have one request, could you revive the destructible environments that the original X-COM featured? It would sure make taking aliens out of houses easier. That aside, this game is truly an amazing play, I feel that it passes the original X-COM in its appeal, highly deserving a 10/10.
