A note on turn times and AI performance. Civ 3 cannot take advantage of multi-core processors, and thus can drag heavily on large scenarios in-between player turns. This is especially true during the first five turns or so, because the bombardment calculation from aircraft is a major drag on the game for some reason. After the heavy attrition of the first turns, the game rapidly gets faster. The best way to help improve performance is to make sure nothing else is running on your desktop other than Civ 3, and to disable "Show Friendly Moves" and Show Enemy Moves" on the options screen. That said, I understand if players may find this unacceptable, in which case, thanks for checking the game out.

An updated version of the game is now available (as of 26 OCT 15) so be sure to check it out. It offers a much improved experience over the first release. Thanks to all players visiting; I hope you enjoy the game.
