I actually liked some of the elements of this game! The walking speed was a little bit sluggish and made the game drag on. But I liked the parts where the paintings would change when you turned around. That stuff creeps me out.

I just played this game and I have to say that I was quite on edge while I did so :) I had a lot of fun with it and it was quite creepy. The only problem I really experience was at the end during the dream when I was leaving the bedroom, the hallway was totally dark and I couldn't really see the obstacles so I just sort of had to push my way through it.
Also did you model one of the monsters after the Iron Maiden from Resident Evil 4? That made me jump and brought back some memories!
