I am simply making suggestions for your model
first of all let me say that i am trying to help improve your model so that it looks amazing
and that it will probably not be in the sgi team (by the way I am NOT on the sgi mod team) but certain thing i am able to help get this model somewhere, such as into stargate races (http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/314779)
ok now onto the helping part
for one i dont think it looks ancienty "yet"
ancient ships simply do not have "mirror" sides if you get what i mean
and now for the sizing of the ship :)
its to narrow and not good for a "titan" and its to short (length wise)
if it stands any chance of beating Atlantis out of the titan slot it need to be much bigger in comparison unless u can show me a ship to ship comparison which would be awesome by the way :)
but it is a great model tho deff better than anything i could come up with (partly cuz i cant model) but i would hope to think that i can offer good help and advice to get the best effect :)
but the size comparison to atlantis aside i think it deff need to be wider and not mirrored and maybe longer as well and towers on the top as well as the bottom would be an awesome effect for it maybe add in part of the main spire from atlantis to be the bridge not as tall of course but there at least and possibly a larger city section
so for the old version maybe it will be good as one of the new capitals
Also i am working on the model for version 2
i think as one of the new capitals this thing would be superb!

I am glad for the suggestions and especially like the idea towers on top and bottom, I will post some sketches of my changes.
on the topic of a side by side comparison I am not sure how to do that.
