You can download mod tools for this game. You would need to edit the code in the files for side folders (sides meaning what team like republic or droids etc. Also called ODF files) and the common script files for each map. Once done with code, you run the "munge" file and it compiles the code into game files that you copy and paste over your games original files (make back ups of your original files)

You can also add new characters and what not, but would have to create new ODF and edit some req files.

I personally used the tools from this link which just combines different tools Swbfgamers.com

But you can also do the same stuff using the mod tools from this site if the other one makes you uncomfortable. Moddb.com .... Just might be a little more confusing to operate but it is doable. Make sure you look at readme files

I just downloaded and installed this mod from this site. It works fine. You might want to make sure you are installing the mod properly.

If you made backups of your original files, paste those into you game directory that you pasted the mod files. If you did not make back up, reinstall your game

I have another mod called "SWBF1 and 2 mixed" that keeps soldier's as the only playable characters, but includes all of the maps

That shouldn't be the case with this mod

You would need to make your own mod. swbfgamers.com has a good amount of mod tools to download. Search for battlebelk mission.lvl builder or some mission.lvl builder of some kind

You would have to make your own version of the mod. Go to swbfgamers.com for good tutorials!

You need to copy/paste/install the folders from within the "AddOn" folder to the "AddOn" folder in your game files. This is the path "Star Wars Battlefront (Classic 2004) -> GameData -> AddOn"

I downloaded the mod and tried it myself.

My version of this, the hero character does replace the marksman class. The game can only handle 5 classes or it will crash. There is a work around this, but is very complicated and messy. I have done it before, but the nature of it and the amount of files needed to install/backup is too much for me to upload here.

Other classes can be replaced with the hero so that marksman is available. I have considered uploading the assets to my mod here so that people can play around with what class that want missing. Would be time consuming and unreasonable for me to have 15 different versions of this mod uploaded here

You may have installed the wrong version of my mod. Either way, I have just updated this mod and you shouldn't have any issues.

I can give you my assets with the original models if you want. You would just hit a munge button and the mod would be made for you

Okay cool. I just need the lua scripts for each map, but all assets are fine. I tried out most of the maps earlier today. Very cool. Digging the mod. I like the old skins on the heroes and higher lightsaber damage.

Hello,

Is there any way you can send me the source code for the scripts map lvl files? As in the scripts to add things such as units and heroes? I am not sure how to convert old maps to the new game. Was hoping to edit reinforcements/units to be consistent with my own mod?

Thank you! So did I, and I always wanted to play the hero back then. So that is why I made the mod

I fixed the issue, and I have updated each version of the mod.

Since I had you move some lvl files around prior to releasing the fix, here is some instructions for you specifically:

1. You are going to have to copy and paste your original CORE.lvl file into your GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc folder since I had you move the CORE.lvl file from the original directory into the AddOn folder earlier. If you no longer have this file, uninstall and reinstall your game.

2. You will need to download the version of my mod that you want to use. I have added a new folder called "JABBAS PALACE MISSION LVL"

3. Copy and paste the mission.lvl file from the MISSION folder into your GameData -> Data -> _LVL_PC

4. Copy and paste each side.lvl from the SIDE folder into your GameData -> Data -> _LVL_PC -> Side

4.Copy and paste the mission.lvl file from the JABBAS PALACE MISSION LVL folder into the GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc folder.

If you still have the modded side files (cis.lvl, rep.lvl, imp.lvl, and all.lvl) in the GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc -> side folder, you can delete these from this folder, however, you will want to keep gam.lvl in there.

Let me know if you have any other issues

Did you do the Core lvl from your main directory into the AddOn folder? Mine crashed until I did that.

Sorry, I haven't had a lot of time to look into this lately. I did find, however, a TEMPORARY and PARTIAl fix.

1. Right-click and copy my mission.lvl modded file from the file when you downloaded whatever version you downloaded for my mod

2. Paste mission.lvl into your GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc (BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL MISSION.LVL FILE FOR THIS FOLDER)

3. Copy all of my modded side lvl files (cis.lvl, all.lvl, imp.lvl, rep.lvl) from whatever version you downloaded from and paste them into GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc -> side

4.Go to your GameData -> Data -> _LVL_PC (original directory, NOT AddON) Copy the core.lvl file and paste it into GameData -> AddOn -> Tat3 -> Data -> _lvl_pc. (BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL CORE.LVL FILE FOR THIS FOLDER)

This is a temporary and partial fix. You will be able to play this map with the heroes, however, the text for character, character description, and the reinforcement count is not visible and not in English. They're just blocks. I will let you know and update this mod when I find a good fix

Yes, I can try. For some reason, it won't register my code for that map. I will work on it.

I was able to fix the issue where NPCs were not targeting the player's hero without having another NPC hero on your team. I basically just lowered the default health for the heroes. NPCs should now attack you even if you are the only hero on your team. I updated all versions of the mod to reflect this.

Note that for the 2 versions that have invincible heroes, your health will decrease slightly when hit by tanks or vehicles, but it will regenerate almost instantly. So you should still be invincible. If you get hit by a vehicle that causes ragdoll, such as ATAT or ATST, your health won't regenerate instantly until you actually hit the ground. Still shouldn't be a problem in terms of staying alive/invincible.
