As far as I'm aware, Multiplayer campaign battles have never been compatible with NTW3, nor is it in 8.9.

It works only on certain nations, and only when they're a relief force. Its likely that either A: Its a bug or B: The developers forgot or refused to put an audio file for fifers of the main force.

I have encountered a more specific bug, where Generals staff come to a dead stop whenever they get into the charging animation (In the campaign only)

I agree with this guest to an extent. I believe French officers, musicians, flag bearers and artillerists should be given sheaths for sabers, and possibly even members of the Old Guard (They were given a far more prestigious variant of the sabre briquet, and there are artistic depictions of them being equipped with them). I understand if this isn't plausible. (And the old guard shouldn't actually use the swords.) Also, the addition of a bayonet sheath would be nice if possible.

Mod is probably dead, even without an official announcement.

No, that is sadly impossible in NTW. there is a civil war mod with a campaign indev for Empire: Total War.

Even after following all instructions, this mod completely failed to function :( a little help would be benefecial.
