I'm no legal expert so keep that in mind..

..But there are multiple mods and add-ons all around us using commercial made models so it would *appear* alright. I personally think it falls under the "Fair Use" clause of copyright law.
So long as we aren't making money off someone else's material, and not infringing on their ability to make money then it's Fair Use.

Remember I'm not a lawyer so I'm just shooting from the hip here.

If a company objects I'd swiftly act to respect their wishes.

thanks for the info mate.

so, i think its ok for now, and i will use the asset for my non-commercial project.

but since the porting issue still be a "Grey area" for me, of course i have to always ready for any updated situation that may come.
