With steam open, go your game library and right-click on ck ii -> properties -> BETAS. On this page you will see a drop down box saying "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs," click the down arrow next to it then select "2.5.2 - Old version 2.5.2" from the list. Steam should do the rest and will revert your game back to this version. Mod is compatible with all DLCs up to 2.5.2.

I made a work-around a while back for this, check the forums or some of the previous posts on this thread.

I'm not sure it's possible. Generally speaking you would have to find a repository that has old copies of the game with the version you are looking for. Alternately, if you have a friend with the game on steam you could get them to revert the game to the right version and then zip the whole game file and send it to you. No idea if either would work but as far as I know, Paradox doesn't have way to revert the game except through Steam. Good luck!

That's an interesting bug, I know part of the rebuild was to redo the War of the Ring events which would include that event. Probably, the event that pulls Rohan in to help Gondor is targeted to the owner of the kingdom of gondor or the county that has Edoras. I'll pass this bug along for the team to look at.

On steam, in your library, R-click on CKII.
Select "Properties" from the menu.
Select the tab "Betas" on the window that pops up.
There is a drop-down menu on this tab that lets you select the version of the game you want to have installed.

There is a fix for colonization in the forum for this mod but it is a bug that we have fixed for the next version of the mod.

1. Work is in progress to update the mod to the current version of CKII but this version is only compatible with 2.5.2.
2. Every DLC works except Conclave, Reaper's Due, and Monks and Mystics.
3. I don't have the answer for that one, probably because of the size of the mod though.

In general, those races are not really designed to be played and some, like the Maia, don't have buildings associated with their culture/race. I can't recommend playing the races you listed, and it may be impossible in multiplayer unless you take a lot of bad traits to bring the age back down. In single player, you can use the console to add the race trait of your choice (eg. add_trait maia).

Sounds like you are missing the MiddleEarthProject.mod from the ..\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod file.

Yeah, it's an imperfect fix but it does help improve the performance of the game :)

It's a bug, I think I found a work-around by disabling the event that dealt with "hiring courtiers." Specifically I set the event so the AI could not hire courtiers. Look under employment_decisions.txt in the decisions folder of the mod an change all the "ai = yes" to "ai = no" as shown below. Good luck!

AND = {
ai = no
is_ruler = yes
has_character_flag = employment_decisions_open
}

There is! Unfortunately it's not in the current version of the mod. It is being worked on for the next release though. You can make your own event that does this pretty quick by checking the GoT mod or Damascus Steel to see how they solved the problem. I would post my own work-around but I used their stuff without permission so no distribution.

Actually I think I know what you are talking about now, I think that is something that will be fixed for the next release. Actually I think it's fixed now on the dev version but we can double check.

First, make sure you are running ck ii version 2.5.2. Then try running the mod with no other mods. Also make sure you disable Reapers Due, and Conclave, this version of the mod doesn't support these DLCs.

That mechanic is old and the events supporting it have been disabled, the next version removes it all together.

Sounds like windows is trying to use the wrong program for opening the file, make sure you have a program that can open .zip files such as WinRar, or WinZip.

Check to make sure you file structure looks like this:

..\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\MiddleEarthProject Beta

You should also have a file in the \mod folder titled:

MiddleEarthProject.mod
