I'm proud of you! Beautiful mod, glad you captured the spirit of an enjoyable single player exerience and brought it to D2R!

I don't think it will cause any problems if you manually override the stash files. Of course the mod can't take every other mod into consideration regarding file-overlap. But I hope it works for you.

Pay attention to the max limit of sockets on items. It should work.

I actually don't know. This mod was created long before PD2 existed. E-SP Mod was intended for people to play it once for nostalgia sake and enjoy cool stuff along the way.

It certainly works with plugy tho. Ho to install is in the readme

The critique is justified but it was on purpose for 2 reasons:

1) low level sets and uniques are super rarely used due to the fact that you simply out-level them in a couple of hours. So by forcing them to drop multiple times you actually increase their drop rate (don't ask me why)

2) This mod was intended to play it co-op with friends as well. This was just to get every body a reasonable chance to wear cool sets without killing each other over them.

I get that this comes at the cost of emersion but that's hard to balance otherwise. It was a pragmatic decision.

Perhaps the item itself has a socket limit of 3. Google which item has which max number of sockets. The mod did't touch the hard code of the game.

You apperantly don't know what's a packed file. Download "Winrar" so you can unpack the file....

You don't need any gems to combine runes. It is mentioned in the change-list

First of all thanks for your nice comment.

- The Zod drop must be brutal luck. It IS possible, but almost impossible. So feel yourself lucky.

- I could do something about the potion drop.

- To find that much sets and uniques at the early game is just the trade-off for amping up the droprates. My intention was for someone to be able to potentially find a complete low-lvl set before they become obsolete.

Okay..there's a lot to reply. I try to list the things you addressed.

- Firstly I want to make a general statement. I made this mod with one thing in mind: Replaying this game alone or with friends once or twice for old times sake. It was not intended to play it for thousands of hours to grind the best gear. This explains mostly the level changes of uniques. The intention behind the ilvl and the rlvl changes was to give players a fair chance of getting a really good piece of equipment before beating the game, so you can find throughout the journey until Hell Baal at least something very good - beat him with it and go on with your life. That's roughly the idea behind it. That's esentially what I meant by 'nostalgia'. Beat the game once, find cool gear in the process (but not all of it) and remember the good time. Same with the runes.

- Crushing blow has not been touched whatsoever. You are definitely trippin' ;D

- The chests are VERY hard to change. Orignally I was going to modify only those, so you are way more motivated to go to these optional dungeons and get rewarded, which would have artificially stretched the game length without being annoying. This was my main idea. But altering those special chests turned out to be MUCH harder, it would have required serious hacking into the source code of the game. I had neither the talent nor the time to do it, so I decided to implement those 'mini bosses'.

- Dwarf Star Ring is definitely a mistake and will be changed with the next patch in october.

- Same goes for normal item drops. This will be looked into.

I hope I didn't forget anything. I'm very sorry that this mod can't be the holy grail for you, but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway.

That is actually the main complaint and I'm still trying to figure out why this happens. I see what I can do, when I have more time on my hand.
But for the time being - consider it as the premium loot. I mean, you could put the runes into something inferior and try to find the high level normal items as the ultimate trophy. You still have the RW you want but if you want the best you have to grind but you don't miss TOO much.

It's actually not that complicated. The base rules for socketing stayed the same. You cannot socket something that has already sockets in it. And you cannot aply the multiple socket recipes to magic, rare or unique (blue,yellow,gold) items as it states in the description -> "Socketing normal and superior items:"
Normal items refere to white items without any feature and superior items are white items with one or two base attributes, like an armor with x% enhanced defene or max. durability.
And I haven't implemented any recipe of socketing magic or rare items.

There is nothing that can't be dropped what can be dropped in the original game. So yes, gc skillers drop.

No possible bug. It is much more possible that you did an error in the installation process. Try to take the installtation description as literal as possible and check your version. It may not works with too old iterations of the game.

No internet whatsoever. Only single player or LAN

I can at least asure you that it is not caused by ESPM. Other than that, I can't help you. Try finding solutions outside of this site.

Well, especially the low level sets have a rather high frequency of dropping. So you can enjoy a set before your character grows out naturally. But even for this mod standard it's a lot of loot for level 8.

I'm not quite familiar with D2SE but if I'm not mistaken there must be a D2SE_Setup.ini where you can anable the "-direct -txt" method of modding. This could be a lead for solving the problem but I just don't use D2SE and didn't create the mod in sight of D2SE. But make sure you but the txt Files from the mod into your mod folder ...MyMod\data\global\excel\

But if anyone who uses D2SE and ESPM and got it to work, feel free to tell us the way.

You are on to something. I did in fact adjust a certain drop pool for various Bosses, to let the drops feel somehow 'in-theme' with the respective Bosses.

I won't spoil you all the details, but you made good observations ;)

A last hint at the end: Hell Nihlathak and Baal drop by far the best Gear.
