Rediscovered the first game a couple months ago and, having played it years ago on Kongregate, decided to replay it, then went down a rabbit hole of trying to find any information about the game I could, finding old YouTube videos on development builds, very interesting history.

While playing it, I rediscovered the fact that it actually got a sequel, which I forgot about till I noticed the link to its IndieDB page on the title screen (which I'd somehow missed before) and downloaded it. I'm not sure if I played the sequel back in the day, mostly since I don't remember doing so, but it feels vaguely familiar to me.

Both games are still fun to this day surprisingly, even if their graphics haven't held up as well lol

Doubt anybody will read this (last comment here was on January 13th of this year as of speaking, pretty recent but still) but I'll say that it is definitely worth a play still.

Nice job, if you can make two over-a-decade-old and decade-old games respectively still worth a play today, you've obviously done something right.

He has a twitter account (@LilleJohs) and he's posting on it (May 4th of this year is when his latest tweet was posted as of writing).
It can be confirmed that it's him cause of the twitter handle, Island Escape 2's output_log.txt file has the file path C:\Users\Johannes (twitter account uses his name, also being Johannes) from what is probably compiling the whole thing and he made a reply to a tweet about Island Escape 2 being remastered by a fan, so it's most definitely him.

(oops replied to the wrong message, hope you don't mind lol)
