The $ does not change colour; it appears when there are 2000VND of troops in the glowing ring. The colour of the beam above the master hut and the ring around the village will change colour when this occurs.

Units do auto-attack when stationary, it would drive me mad if they didn't, unless they are stealthed or large units (because you don't want vehicles wiping things out with their inaccuracy). Evan is correct regarding auto-attack on the move.

The dev team is not working on Medusa, however some members of the community are currently looking at producing a community add-on in a similar vein.

Actually, once again you show your ignorance, because if EITHER side harms the villages they are punished; their income is reduced. This (to a small extent) simulates the fact that attacking civilians is unacceptable and the player is therefore loathe to use heavy ordnance within a village. However, the Viet Cong are able to use villages as a base weapon platform, so there is the difficult juxtaposition of having to hold, defend and protect areas that can at any point become dangerous.

But why bother actually playing and understanding the mod if you can sit spouting hate, right?

The mod is not about glorifying the war, and if you put down the Daily Mail for more than five seconds and watched the intro to the mod (which is conveniently also in the video section) you may have noticed the tone; there is a generally subdued and sombre tone throughout the intro and shell scenes, and the intro includes strong imagery to elicit emotion and give a brief glimpse at the horrors war can bring upon any nation and its people.

There is no defamation involved here - at no point are either the American or the Vietnamese people vilified or portrayed negatively; as a team we take a neutral standpoint (which is unsurprising, given most of the team are European and thus uninvolved).

Ultimately, however, the war took place and is portrayed frequently in media, and media is often used as a kickstart into learning some of the history. This encouraged education can only be a good thing.

As an aside, you are aware, as an Australian (as your profile claims), that Australia also partook in the war, right? If not, then hey, I've just proven my point and you can look at why your country got involved and ultimately help petition to ensure it is not repeated if you disagree with the reasons.

There's not an installer, but you can pull the files from Screamingcricket.com - you want 0VGO_99_Art_v2-1.vgo and 0VGO_99_Code_v2-1.vgo. Place these in the VGO\Mod Files\ folder.

No, you would need to edit the camera zoom levels in GameData.ini - but as mentioned, a more zoomed in camera will break bloom. If you are happy with broken bloom, then by all means edit that file - as long as you do not play online.

Normal? If you mean the more zoomed in ZH version, not unless you manually edit GameData.ini and remove bloom (or put up with the bloom failing when you zoom in). But I don't know why you would want to be more zoomed in anyway.

We changed the level you can zoom in, because if you zoom in too far it breaks bloom. We changed the level you can zoom out partly to compensate, and partly to allow a wider view of the battlefield.

Yes, this was done so it can logically still carry people - it carries them inside the carry case. Imagine the command post is actually inside the carry case and just happens to look identical. ;)

You should not have to download updates (I assume you are running Hydra 2.0) - did the launcher spit out any errors? If it did, then that's your problem right there.

You may wish to check when the launcher is running that \Data\Scripts is populated with .scb files (and .zh files for backup).

Uninstall Zero Hour, manually delete the folder in case files are left over, then reinstall, patch to 1.04 and put the mod over it.

Is it a selection problem? I'd recommend putting it in our forum for discussion. Could be fixed by circling speed and radius, maybe.

I don't want the NVA to have an airfield as they are not air heavy; the idea is they get temp use of aircraft rather than permanent.
