For everyone that likes Warhammer 40k Tabletop and Dawn of War Games or anything to do with Warhammer 40K.
Honestly? I don't like the way this is going, its too bright for the grimdark 40k and jumping and doing flips in full terminator armour? Dafuq....
I'll have to agree with the description. I don't like where it's going. Graphics would be great... for a moba >:[
I hear they're *REPLACING* DoW2's cover system with a sort of "garrisonable cover" circles deal. Think the CoH (iirc) British deployable trenches, but a large circle with cover at its edges instead.
tl;dr: dumbed down gameplay D:
they said that they wanted to make the game accessible for new players,so they made graphics more colorfull so that you can see which unit is shooting which more easily...but taking away the DOW2 and Coh cover system...i don't like it,seems they are making it to "accessible"...but i do like the base building.
I don't have that much of a problem with the removal of the DoW II cover system, I think that would be way too fiddly for larger battles.
But I agree, the aesthetics kill this for me right now.
Cover system was fine in DoWII since you didn't control as many units. But in the original games, especially when armies start blobbing out, it was too much trouble trying to take advantage of the mechanic. Most of the time I had to stay on the move anyway and push forward and cover usually didn't help much anyway. Since there bring it back up to RTS rather than Real Time Tactics, it won't be quite as relevant when your dealing with 10, 20, 30 plus units or more. I tend to shy away from micro-management, I especially shy away from games that require too much of it as it usually comes down to whichever player is faster. (IE Starcraft)
But yeah, hopefully that don't dumb it down too much and stick to the lore. I didn't see Angelos do any flips, but considering how much of a badass he is, doing sweet jumps in terminator armor doesn't seem too far fetched for him xD 40k thrives off manly men doing manly things, even if they don't entirely make sense.
StarCraft 40k
Angelos looks and moves like Arthas from WarCraft 3 btw.
This game is ruin I can assure you that.. judging by how awful CoH 2 became and how these "SUPER BRAND DEVS " like Sega works I can only hopee they don't ruin it much than this by using thiere " INTELLIGENT INNOVATION" ... you want example ? Lets start with the most AWESOME one... they changed Gabriel Angelos voice actor.... and wait that's only for DOW series let alone how underdeveloped is eternal crusade and how unbalanced is battle fleet Gothic armada... these are good example that these guys only care to " release a game " not to make a masterpiece like the older series just like what call of duty became...
You know, Relic has nothing to do with BFG: Armada and Eternal Crusade development.
Man I meant that all dev are only trying to release a game no matter how bad it would be
It´s a ******* moba, but now you control a lot of units, not one. ****!
I have bad feelings about this game. I hope they'll change their art direction before it's too late.
I also agree with Gabriel Angelos part. They should hire Paul Dobson, if not, don't start making it at all. Flipping is also ridiculous.
