Legged Squad Support System or LS3 is an under constructed robot by Boston Dynamics. This is the robot that will be the next Marine and Soldiers. The robot designed to carry up to 400lbs of gear. The robot fuel support can be used for 24 hours time and explore 20 miles missions. DARPA and the US Marine Corps. are sponsor for this project. This robot planned to be developed in 30 months and finished in 2012. LS3 designed to joint the mission without any driver on it. It only needs a location directory with the computer vision and automatically will follow the leader. Lots of person and experts join in this team in making the LS3. They are from Boston Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, AAI Corporation, Carnegie Mellon, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Woodward HRT.
