Hey, here is a suggestion. To get some variation, maybe you guys can talk about some some cool racing games you might know. Oh and if any of you have seen the new Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, maybe you can have that as a topic as well.

Just a suggestion ;)

Well I love racing games so I can talk about a bunch of those.

Also, I know Zach just loves Pirates of the Caribbean, he may have seen the new one. Although I haven't yet.

Thanks for the ideas man.

I have yet to see the new POTC sadly, but maybe I'll get lucky this weekend ;)

Racing games are nice, think I already mentioned my two favorites though (Smuggler's Run 1 and 2). Ok, not racing in the traditional sense, but it is fast driving trying to outrun your opponents! (Border Patrol, CIA, rival gangs, Russian military, etc.)

Thanks for the suggestions.

NEXT! (come on, lol)

I've got a new suggestion: Free games and open source games. This is always a popular subject among gamers like me, most of my favorite games are free games.

Here are a few games you could try:

  • Cube 2 Sauerbraten: Sauerbraten.org - Open Source (similar in a way to the popular game Minecraft however much more advanced in edit-mode)
  • Urban Terror: Urbanterror.info - Free (new version is under development called Urban Terror HD, alpha version is available for testing)
  • LFS (Live For Speed): Lfs.net - Free to play - optional upgrades cost money (Cool racing simulator, I believe it also won the 2008 best race sim of the year award)
  • YSFlight: Ysflight.com - Free (A great flight simulator, graphics aren't the best but they aren't supposed to be, it's only 20 MB in size which is pretty "OMFG" for a flightsim)
  • Smokin Guns: Smokin-guns.net - Free (You already know this one) ;)

Hope this will come in your next show :)

Free and Source? That is an EXCELLENT idea! Hell, as a bargain guy I've always been hunting fro free games and mods. This one is definitely going down in our magic topic list, thanks!

well, the show's motto is: "randomness guaranteed" why not devote an entire episode to random stuff. it could be a joke you've recently heard, a youtube video you have stumbled upon, etc.

We do that quite a bit, but it doesn't take up the entire show time (remember our Cave Johnson = Pyro episode? was basically what you said there) but I'll give the word to Matt, since we do need to keep near our motto more.

Youtube has been an idea sitting in the back of my mind for a while. Though I wouldn't mind it to much, Matt has the actual video files, so it would be up to him to upload stuff to youtube.
