Planet and moon made in the Gimp 2.8.

Wow, nice job! Was the fuzzy atmosphere for the planet done with the a simple round brush and then overlayed with a planet?
Nope. The atmosphere was made by a plugin but could easily be made by creating a round selection around the planet and then doing a "Stroke Selection" =)
