i'm gonna add two comments i got from pros on this track from somewhere else here if u dont mind:
Man, the track sounds good...
The problem with it is that it is something which too many are doing out there... It has a great atmosphere, etc., but those sounds you are inserting look like random samples. I mean, I recognize half of these sounds Smile Like "This one I heard somewhere, and this one was in a composition I listened yesterday, another one is from that library"... So, it brakes that harmony of a track - the foreground consists of randomly chosen sounds which are not into the track, but glued on it... And there is no particular progression of a composition... Culmination, or obvious idea or something...
Excessive reverb is cliche as well. It sounds sort of cool, but it is not a good idea to put much reverb everywhere - it just makes an impression of interesting massive sound.

But generally it is much better than beginners usually do... The quality is ok and it is nicely mixed and have no obvious bugs... Good for start, much to improve Wink
I mean, people just can say "awesome, awesome!", but how many of them would actually click "buy now" button with your album? This is what important...

You wanted feedback - you've got it!

Probably other people were using same synths for similar sounds - that's why they sounds familiar...
Not all of course, just several times during the track I was thinking "heard it before".

It is a very hard job to make different sounds fit together - it is just a matter of experience and playing with different knobs on the synths, adding effects... Unfortunately, the genre is relatively small and I never seen any tutorials or something like this online... I suggest trying to apply different effects for different sounds and to tweak each for hours until you are satisfied... No other way I think...

But as I said, the track is good. It lacks that "massiveness" which big guys of dark ambient can do, but it is not so far from it...

I just finished listening to the track. Well I'll give my honest opinion. I felt that it lacked enough direction to hold the attention or give any sense of satisfaction from listening. The samples did sound glued onto the song. Tweaking the levels might help to some degree. The song got really quiet towards then end, then that reversed noise came in really loud. Who are your influences?

You asked for book or album recommendations. I'm not sure the direction you're trying to go with this but I'll give you a few "dark" ambient recommendations that might give you inspiration:

Steve Roach - "Midnight Moon"
Steve Roach - "Darkest Before Dawn"
Atrium Carceri - any

As for books? There really aren't any books that will help you become a better artist. There are tons that make empty promises and the authors would be glad to accept your money. The truth is that art has to be largely innate, and most of it cannot be learned. My best advice is to just keep working and working. Attempt to reverse engineer (cover) lots of songs. Break them down so you understand how they were created, that will at least help give you some new starting points.
