Saleucami Space

*Kain Talus is alerted to the summons by an aid, informing him that a Centrality representative is asked to join imperial and alliance members for a meeting. With the Centrality government in ruin and the senate destroyed he was fresh out of ideas on who to send.

"Another piece of news, my lord. It appears two senators were off world at the of the attacks on Erilnar. They are on Lekua V at the moment with governor Iblim." The aid added. This got Kain's attention, with two senators at his side during the meetings it would add much needed legitimacy to the agreements made.

"Have them meet me at Erilnar, I want to attend these meetings myself. They will accompany myself and speak on behalf of the Centrality." Kain explained.

"At once, my lord." The aid replied.

A shuttle was prepped and a squadron were brought as escorts. Kain was whisked away to the shuttle but not before sending a message to the Alliance admiral, letting him know of the situation and informing him that he had command..

A short time later Kain's shuttle met with the two remaining senators before departing for Raxus.*

Imperial Palace

*The Alliance summons are handed to the Empress by one of her servants*

"So the Alliance wishes to meet with us and the Centrality not surprising given the recent events. Very well I shall go myself and bring two knights with me. Have Admiral Dezz prep a vigil corvette for transport to Raxus.

"It will be done your Majesty" the servant replied.

The vigil class was prepared and a reply was sent to the alliance informing them they were on the way. After the Empress and her escorts boarded the ship promptly set a course for Raxus.

Captain Corvin Isarch found himself in a situation... not to his liking. They had left the blockade a few days before. Apparently, Sion Desyk had taken a liking to him and insisted that he be part of the Alliance delegation. Word was, that at this stage of negotiations no Senator was going to partake. When he had asked Desyk why this was, the Kel Dor had laughed and said no Senator would stick his name to this endeavor in case it failed.

"Not to worry Captain." he had said. "Should we come out of this meeting with anything resembling a deal. They'll will scurrying all over us like Thunian wart-honets!".

The Captain had raised an eyebrow and asked. "And what is a.. Thunian wart-hornet exactly?" The alliance operative leaned in closer.
"Its an insect that has a venom-coated tonque." He had answered and made what was probably the closest thing to a wink the Kel Dor could manage.

Under other circumstances, Corvin might have found the joke funny, but alas he was very much not looking forward to this meeting, and what was really unnerving him was Desyks aloof attitude to this meeting. As if he was partaking in one of those ridiculous spy vids that flooded the holonet every once in a while.

Once at the meeting site, all there was left to do was wait for the arrival of the other delegates.

*The Centrality force entered the Raxus system without incident, Kain's shuttle landing at the meeting site coordinates. Kain and the Centrality delegation exited the shuttle, the two senators arguing between themselves earning a glare from Kain. Though they were senators, they were younger than most and inexperienced compared to more seasoned senators.

While most of the delegation found their seats, Kain went over and chatted with Captain Isarch. He offered thanks for his help with attack on Erilnar.*

After acknowledging Kains gratitude, Captain Isarch moved to his seat but did not yet sit down. He looks at the delegates and wonder how the heck he finds himself starring down two nation leaders at this summit. He feels woefully outranked and considered contacting his Admiral... But decided against it. The Admiral had his hands full starring down the Hutts. Come to think of it, Corvin felt that he would gladly have switched places. He cleared his throat and began.

"Esteemed guests, first I must thank you all for agreeing to come here today, to discuss the latest events to stir the galactic peace of how we may keep this peace." he paused for a short moment and gave a distinct small bow to both leaders, and then sat down.

"The matter at hand, is one of equilibrium both our great nations, and under which terms it can be achieved. Kain, I believe we should start with you putting forward your aims and goals and we will go from there. After which I am sure your Majesty would like to comment." he said, switching his gaze from Kain to the Empress.

*Kain and the centrality delegation all take their seats, the senators to either side of Kain. He looked at Isarch as the man spoke, grateful for the chance to speak first.

“Thank you, Captain. It is an honor to be here with you, your majesty. I understand that That you consider us traitors, forsaking our oaths all those years ago when the empire fell. Well after all these years, we finally have a chance at peace in the Outer Rim. With the destruction of the Authority, all that leaves in that area of space is the Hutts, and they already being dealt with last I heard.” Kain started.

“In the way of continued peace is this overhanging view that your Empire holds about us, Empress. So to both the Fel Empire and the Alliance, these are Centrality terms. To start, The Centrality wishes to open up diplomatic channels between the Centrality and Fel Empire. A non aggression pact, trade, migration. All the usual treaties between sovereign nations.” Kain continued, looking to the Emptess and back to Isarch to gauge their reactions.

“Furthmore, for the Alliance. The centrality wishes to enter a state of protectorate status under the Alliance. To be called upon for war, in teams of need. And we shall do the same if we are ever in need of aid. The exception to this rule being that Centrality forces will not engage will Fel Empire forces unless provoked, such as a declaration of war or any other aggression against the Centrality.” Kain went on.

“This will allow inetegration into the Alliance for the Centrality and her people, remaining a semi sovereign state, without upsetting the balance of power and risk tipping the scales. A new government is to be installed, and Erilnar to be rebuilt. And for that I hope for the alliances aid once more.” Kain finished.*

*Hearing the Centralities proposals Rena felt rage boil inside her however she kept her calm as she spoke*

"The Empire will never recognize the legitimacy of traitors and will see any recognition of legitimacy as a grave insult! That is all I will say on this matter."

Corvin waits for a moment to make sure none have anything else to say before once again taking his turn. The Captain stands up and begins;

"It would seem then, that before any other matter can be discussed, we would to address the matter of treason then.

No group of people or nations can be held as traitors in perpetuity. After all, treason its not something that can be inherited.

Though we have not yet come to such a point where there have been a generational shift, it will occur at some point, after which what is an entirely reasonable and legitimate slight for this moral wrongdoing, becomes little less than the most primitive of blood feuds.

While it is not currently so, I ask you humbly your majesty, would it not be better to settle the matter with this singular War Lord now?

All that it takes for us to begin this process, is for you... To put it bluntly... To name your price of treason." He sits down and looks to the Empress to gauge her reaction and response to his broaching on this most serious of matters. He knew what the price would be, likely the price that one always pays for such crimes, but non the less it had to be said before anything else.

*Rena's eyes shift from Kain to Corvin and with the same calm demeanour, she spoke*

"There can be only one price for treason captain and that is death but I assume you already knew my answer before I gave it."

Corvin clears his throat to speak again.

"Then allow to me to propose a framework for a potential agreement, details to be haggled over if need be. The first part of this agreement will address the issues regarding the sector of Saleucami and the recent acquisition of the Super Star Destroyer the Alliance have acquired. The latter part will involve what it might take for recognizing the Centrality as a protectorate of the Alliance.

As the first part of this agreement, the Alliance is willing to, as a show of good faith, immediately scuttle the Super Star Destroyer that we captured from the Authority upon the conclusion of this meeting. To equalize the balance of power between us.

Second. The Saleucami sector will be administrated from the Centrality, thereby not adding it to formal Alliance space for the near future.

Thirdly, in exchange for the release of the Centrality envoys sent to Imperial space not long ago, we are willing to trade you Grand Admiral Tiruel. A deal that favors the Fel Empire greatly and... if the fact of it sweetens the deal.. will not go over well with some in the Alliance I'm sure."

He pauses and look to Sion Desyk for confirmation. The Kel Dor nods.

"The final part of the offer, the only part of this offer that may give this framework of an agreement a chance. Is an offer from the Centrality...". He says and look at Kain.

*Kain stood, and began pacing around the room. Though to some it seemed to be anxiety, in fact Kain was eager to begin this part of the conversation.

“For 40 years the Centrality has grown and prospered. Known the longest bouts of peace in centuries. But now? Now I am old, I can feel it. 70 is approaching faster than I had hoped. If, In my last act as sovereign protector, I can bring lasting peace and security to the people I have grown to love and call my own so be it.” Kain began.

“You will have my head, Empress, to put to rest the talk of traitors.” Kain continued. The two Centrality senators began whispering back and forth to each other, Kain had not mentioned what he had planned.

“But only if you agree to the terms presented by the alliance. Once I know the envoy mission has been released and the rest of the agreements settled, then you shall be allowed to take my head.” Kain finished.

“What say you?” Kain asked, taking his seat again.*

*Upon hearing both proposals Rena was slightly taken aback she had not expected this result*

"Well well well I was not expecting this when I first showed up for this meeting and I suppose I would be a fool not to accept these most gracious offers. Very well Kain, Captain Isarch the Empire agrees to your proposals."

Corvin finally breathed, having held his breath for the last few minutes. He once again stood up.

"Very well, we are in agreement. Unless anyone have anything final to add, I believe this meeting have come to a close." He sat down again, intending to stay until the others have left.
