Nice to see Yularen back and his glorious mustache and voice before he dies 2 years later... now if we could just get Pellaeon as well

I was hoping this would be Pellaeon but I will settle for Yularen. Yularen at least is like Pellaeon in a lot of ways very honorable and noble, and he tries not too stoop to the level of other Imperials.

While seeing the episode, it seemed Yularen was fitting in as a Pellaeon-type character, especially when Thrawn revealed who the spy is. I really liked having someone serve as the "Watson" to Thrawn's "Sherlock" so that we can see into the mind of Thrawn, so I hope they keep him around for more than just one episode.

Yalaren is a key figure in the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB). So him appearing in a counter espionage action such as this isn't surprising. Pellaeon on the other hand is a Fleet Commander, not a intelligence operative. So to have Pallaeon come over for rooting out a intelligence leak is putting him in his wrong element.
