I'm always a little bothered by Obi Wan just leaving Anakin on Mustafar like that. I mean he was his best friend and even though he had become a Sith Obi Wan probably could have taken him with him after he disarmed him without placing himself in too much danger. Then in Yoda's presence Anakin could have been properly judged and possibly redeemed or executed.
Actually that's a rather minor issue with the Jedi's decisions in Episode 3. I'm much more bothered by Mace not telling Anakin to go and send out a distress message to all the Jedi warning them that Palpatine is a Sith and that they might be in danger should he fail to arrest/kill him. Maybe he was just overly confident about his skills but giving Anakin a task would have minimized Anakin's ability to properly reflect on what was going to happen. Which may have resulted in Anakin being less prepared to aid a Sith by attempting to meet Mace's lightsaber. (At least I'm pretty sure Anakin's intention was never to cut off Mace's hand but instead Palpatine altered his cut ever so slightly so that it would hit Mace's wrist)
