AH! Thrawn.

That's one character from the EU era I'll enjoy seeing back.
Now the question is how effectively will they utilize him.

He's portrayed as an efficient, pragmatic... architect. I'd expect him to pulverise Rebels but a slow erosion of their spirit will suffice. Consequently, I'd like to see Rebels take some smart counter-measures.

The rebels can't do anything to fight Thrawn. Thrawn is the force that will kill them all.

Interesting development although Thrawn having pupils is a little weird to me

Am I really the only person who didn't want the blue guy re-canonized?

I simply never liked the character, nor the race for that matter, and also frown upon non-humans high up in the imperial ranks. Except for Mas Amedda and a couple others that were with Palpatine all along, other non-humans -whatever the in-universe explanation- simply diminish the typically human-centric nature of the Empire, and make it lose one of its most important defining characteristics. That coupled with Thrawn being a little of a Marty Stu, and also with him being associated with a very messed up timeline in the EU in terms of plot inconsistencies and fanfictionish events... We all like and dislike certain characters, and Thrawn is one I don't like.

Downvotes? Really? Don't know who it is but I see someone here is unable to tolerate different opinions. I pity you whoever you are.

Upvoted you.

That's fine, we all have our views on it but I do believe Thrawn's tactical competence compensated for his non human nature. The thing about Sith is if they see you as a tool to be used, they're willing to make "exceptions".

Just looked on StarWars.com and OH LORD! They've made Thrawn look extremely ugly and non-Chiss looking. He looks like a Pantoran with a larger head. Like seriously, do him some freaking justice! THRAWN IS CHISS! NOT PANTORAN! GET IT RIGHT DISNEY!

Also, the Ysalamiri aren't on nutrient frames and they don't look at all good. They look like stone.
