This is a group that was created for anyone who loves Star Wars, may it be the books, games, films and modding. This is the place for you to enjoy star wars!
One of the most iconic ships in the SW universe and they managed to screw it up.
Seriously, even the Quasar fire looks better than this playing piece of concrete. And that gets a FAR less showtime on screen.
They really didn't put "passion" into rebels models did they?

One of the most well budgeted franchises around and that's all they can spare...
Too be fair I'd rather they use their resources to make a better story with greater depth and scale than to focus on unique background characters that nobody is going to notice anyway. Keep in mind that reusing assets also allows you to also save time rendering. (Has to do with instancing iirc)
Also they could be trying to recreate the original trilogy instead of re-imagining it. Personally I would be okay with a re-imagined look but I also understand why they would want to stay faithful to the source material.
Well, how do you personally view the rebels story?
Compared to previous installments and comics, your thoughts.
IDK about hims but IMHO it could have been a lot worse.
The writers are trying to bring in as much elements from the Legends as possible. The story is actually more mature than what I thought it will be. Overall, you get the feeling that the writers are trying to satisfy the old fans while working under the restrictions placed on them. I may be wrong but get the vibe that the many of the guys who are in the team are part of the old guard themselves and are trying to make do under the circumstances.
I should point out that my issue is with the visuals. Many of the new models they introduced looks crap compared to the recycled models from the old show. And that is not a good thing.
That wouldn't surprise me, the question is will we ever see a more mature story again when it comes to star wars now that Disney owns the franchise. Will they loosen up? You can squeeze in moments, but restrictions can and often do prevent a piece of art from ever being fully realized and appreciated.
Disney owns it, they supervise the show, and I know for a fact they have the money to spare for better models. No one here is going to make the argument to me they couldn't dish out some additional budget for a show both in appearance and writing. All those kids who go to Disney world at the price of mommy and daddy pocketbooks would finally be contributing to something fans like us enjoy.
I get that vibe as well, if it wasnt for the restrictions by disney the maturity level would be a lot higher.
Certainly inferior. I mean there hasn't been anything in it like Keria's teachings yet. Nothing to make me question whether the Jedi are truly good guys. The last episode may have had a bit of that.
Also there are some minor plot holes like how is it that the urghnauts can understand the officers basic and yet Hondo tries to speak in their language? (spelling may have been butchered using a phone)
The proportions of those things in Rebels are utterly ******. Just look at that hilariously oversized bridge superstructure.
I agree the proportions are very wrong, the neck is too long.

Why is the Destroyers neck so long in Rebels vs the Movie model?
I thought it would look like the movie in some ways, and I agree it's too bad Star Destroyers are lacking in detail vs Clone Wars.
