This is a group that was created for anyone who loves Star Wars, may it be the books, games, films and modding. This is the place for you to enjoy star wars!
I can't forget the times when Star Wars was under Lucas Arts.
I'll never get over EU being scubbed off by the slavers in Disney. But we're the fans and it's our fandom to do with as we see fit. So the comics and fiction for us will always be cannon to those of us who truly appreciated them. Regardless, of what EA and Disney fanboys press on us with their legalistic jargon. Just remember that everybody.
Don't let corporates bully you out of your fondest memories.
And if you enjoy the new trilogy, don't forget the old one.
Have a wonderful day, and may the Force be with you. :-)
Keep in mind, EA isn't Bethesda. They don't care what the community wants, at least Bethesda has actually listened to the communities feedback.
Also, as advice don't bother arguing with hope if you receive a desire too. It's like talking to a brick wall, he will not acknowledge the flaws of EA's battlefront, nor will he acknowledge the superior gameplay of the previous installments by Lucasarts.
Any fan with a modicum of common sense would at least be willing to meet that far. Yeah, EA's battlefront looks pretty, but the soul out of what made Battlefront what it was to fans like us isn't there. It could've been far better than what they shoveled it as if it actually had overhauled space battles and galactic conquest. If it at least had those aspects, I might have been able to forgive the lack of modding.
EA's Battlefront was more of a reboot, Battlefield-style. Still, people must acknowledge the game has pros and cons. Stone pros are the gorgeous graphics and the great sound design as well as the perfect modeling. Some cons are the horrid customization, replayability value and the micro-transactions.
Not even close. Battlefront is far more casual than Battlefield. The shooting mechanics are completely different. I played both games and I know there are huge differences.

Blame Activision for EA's greed. Also, I agree with you about Disney, though the Force Awakens was still a good film.
Slavers? Someone's salty about George being greedy.
"Their precious, money making engines with expensive dlc's birthed forth from.
Can't do that with a modding community making stuff for free can we?
NO, WE MUST BE TOTAL NAZIS AND DENY THE MODDING COMMUNITY!
HEIL PROFITS! :-D"
Bethesda is already letting players mess with their game while also releasing DLC. This isn't the reason lol. It's working for Bethesda too.
The reason is that the Frostbite engine is quite complicated to use. That and you need special access.
True. Plus, modded Battlefront would be very laggy.
Skeptical about the lag.
Can't know until modders actually tried with it.
DICE has gotten really good at optimization. Any modding will ruin it.

I loathe reboots. -_-
In any case that sums it up quite nicely your description of it.
Don't even compare Battlefront to Battlefield. The gameplay is completely different between those two.
In what way is it different?
It's essential the same game, merely reskinned.

Also, blame Activision for EA's greed. EA sees Activision getting away with lots of greed and so attempts to repeat.
Remember, the new Star Wars is the true canon. Everything else is just legends.
