The moment when I've seen Luke revealing himself during the ending, and his Binary Sunset theme was playin',damn... It was an absolutely spiritual moment for me.
Hopefully we will get to see him kicking some *** in the next installment, where we might also see the completion of Rey's training but also Kylo's...

I expected a more sophisticated narrative not a tedious repetition with subtle changes. It simply resembles New Hope to a great extent. I wanted something new, a breath of fresh air, but apparently it's too hard conceive a better story that might involve Grey Force-sensitive users, Force-wielders, Force mysteries and so on. Oh come on, couldn't we just explore Jedi Dooku and Qui-Gon's adventures? Yoda would occasionally assist them. A more refined version of SW universe that would feature grace, finesse, elegance, frequent mental and physical training and sparring. Adventures that would regard ethical, political questions(the things that seem annoying to children and adolescents) in-depth conversations. That would be better than T-F-A and it should be a TV-series, prequel trilogy opened up new possibilities.

Star-killer base is as implausible as Death-star. Star-forge is a more clever and mystic weapon.

"The Star Forge is more than just a space station. In some ways, it is like a living creature. It hungers. And it can feed on the dark side that is within all of us."
―Darth Malak

Star Wars hasn't been much about in-depth conversations, but more on grandiosity and the "big picture". It has always been about adventure and exploration, delving deep into metaphysics and the possibilities of space. As you've said,I would also enjoy some additional content in regards to Qui-Gon and even Yoda. The wonders of the EU need to be explored further. Too bad Disney doesn't share the interest in exploring that domain. I plan on writing some new stories set during the Old Republic period. I want to present a different Dark Side perspective and include an independent Sith covenant having opposing views which clash with those of The Sith Empire. I hope this will turn out well...
