Hitler was a christian. The rumor that he was atheist was just a lie because somebody felt he needed a reason to hate atheists so why not create a false rumor and convince yourself its true? Its nearly as stupid as the rumor that he is jewish.

Nope. He wasn't Christian. Admittedly I was one of those who used to call him atheist (just in response to the claims of him being Christians plus I saw his anti-religious comments) but Hitler wasn't an atheist either. Here is what I posted in the Christian group concerning this matter:

"Hitler was anti-religious. All of these are quotes from Adolf Hitler:

10th October, 1941, midday:

Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure. (p 43)

14th October, 1941, midday:

The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.... Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... ...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... Christianity the liar.... We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. (p 49-52)

19th October, 1941, night:

The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity.

All these quotes come from Hitler's Table Talk.

Hitler's pro-Christian statements were from 1922 and 1933. In 1941 he was clearly anti-Christian hence his statements above and persecution of Christians and other religions. Yea, Hitler was Christian once but later turned away from it just like Darwin turned away from Christianity.

The Quotes:

Hitler's Persecution of Churches:

If you doubt the site citing his quotes, then go look at the book yourself:

Hitler wasn't Christian. End of story."

youi know what, your right ecclesia, by the time he said those quotes he was no longer a christain, he had been but wasnt anymore. People seem to forget that people do deconvert, just because he was a christain doesnt mean he stayed one.

Hitler really seemed to worship himself, there is also a possiblity he was into the Nazi occult stuff that his right hand people were into, though there is not alot of evidence of it.
some weirder claims even say he worshiped so called aliens (i don't buy it) but by his actions and by your quotes, by the time he said them he was no longer a christain.
The one thing that is for sure is that he did use religious like mania and faith to gain power and early on control the people.

Religion can be used for terrible things. That I agree with. Leaders have used it throughout history to get on "the side with the people" when they aren't even genuine. Mankind are sheep regardless of their faith or lack thereof so they don't really know when they're being used, manipulated and lied to. Politicians and leaders use anything to get their own way.

Is not almost all religion expressively self centered by some means of eternal existence in one form or another? Often all that varies at the core of a religion is how centered the universe is around humanity. Some say we are one with the universe, while others say very literally that the entire universe revolves around us.

Hitler himself wasn't a Christian himself, but he felt "supported" and and thought that is should be the religion of Germany. But your right, it was not Christians that killed 8 Millions Jews.

Even if it was a Christian, labelling an entire religion evil because of one man's intent is wrong. It is like saying that some guy with blue eyes blew up mars. So everyone with blue eyes are world destroyers.

0_O i have blue eyes!! MWAAHAHAH

Yes, exactly.

He was a monster that hid behind the label of "Christian" without actually being one. He wasn't an atheist either. By his actions he was more like a Satanist.
