Modular Combat?
I wished to play decadence..never played it online,
but always wanted to

Post back when you want to play some decadence and I'll try joining a server. Sometimes there are servers and I can try hosting/playing from the same box if needed. I've only played it online once so I wanted to try it some more as well.

I would love to..
But anyway I'm a bit confused, because of the deactivated registration
do you need a reg. for playing online?

Tried it online with a friend and it didn't work.

I think you need to setup Unreal Tournament 3 online first.
Get that working first and then quit out of UT3.
Then just run the mod shortcut and enter the same account info to log into the mod.
Then you should be able to bring up the multiplayer server lobby and pick one.
Let me know if this makes sense, if not I can try to clarify some more

why the hack do I have to setup UT3?
I thought it was a sourcemod..I neighter have UT3 nor would it make sense, or am I that wrong?

I was thinking of The Haunted for some strange reason.

They used to have an ability to sign into their website and it would track your stats and scores etc.
So that is what the registration is talking about.
The registration website isn't up anymore so you can't register but it was just for logging stats.
You should be able to play however there are almost never any servers.
When installing it does offer the ability to install the dedicated server files for hosting your own server.
I haven't tried it yet but I guess its worth a shot once if I can get a couple people together

okay..that are good news, because one of the comments to the mod said
something like "wish the reg was open, I want to play it", that was a bit confusing.

Mh we didn't try the dedicated server, there was a "create server" option in the main menu,
but this may work.

I was able to host and join my own server however I don't know if it was showing up in the server list for other people.
Even though we are far apart time wise (6 hours), post in here before you start the server and I'll try to hop in it if I'm awake

We can try planning a date/time to try this as well.
I think 2:00pm for me is 8:00pm for you so that may be a good time but let me know what date/time works for you.

sounds good, but the internet of mine is quite sucky.
Loading with 45kb/s and a usually ping of somewhere around 90.
I'll write back and we gonna try..

I think its a 6 hour difference so 1:00pm EST is 7:00pm GMT which may be a good time to try it tomorrow.
That would give us an hour to try it out and then I'm gonna hop right into the gaming event at 2:00pm (EST) which is Hidden Source

Crap sorry I just woke up, stayed up WAY too late last night

I started a server but I doubt its showing up properly since the IP looks fishy:

127.0.0.1:27015

You can try connecting directly or maybe it will show up in the server browser.
Sorry I was late but we can try this again another weekend day

eh correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 127.0.0.1 is always the ip of your own.
This can't work.

But yeah I knew that IP was fishy, it looked like the default.
