Description

19th January 2006 one of the Slovak An-24 crashed with 43 (28 of them were soldiers) persons on board, 3 km from Slovakia-Hungarian border, at Hungarian village Hejce. Survived the accident only Lieutenant Martin Farkaš. The aircraft returned with members of the Slovak KFOR peacekeepers who served six months in Kosovo. Cause of an accident in which the machine crashed into the forest on the slope of the hill was probably border breach of safety rules during the landing maneuver.
Commemorating the tragic accident song Birds of Paradise, the song is from the Swiss group's unofficial anthem of our troops return home, soldiers listen.

Today it is 6 years ...
Honor their memory!
