Wow, wow and wow again.
What a craftsmanship. I'm sure there's a price for it, but it seems pricless. If that was mine, I wouldn't sell it to nobody.
How old is this? Is there more pictures of this structure?
Tell us bit about this Slavic traditional "beauty", CookieStealer.
This is a banya-house in the estate near Moscow. Not one of the oldest russian wooden buildings (about 1877–1878) , but i liked it a lot.
And here's another good point of view: Upload.wikimedia.org
Well... Russian (i mean most of east slavs, not just one country) architecture motives is a really huge and interesting theme, and there's just not enough space in one comment to tell. And мне было бы легче писать по-русски, но понимаю, что не каждому захочется лезть в Google translate :D
So, anyway, i'd recommend to watch this album, if someone is really interested: Docs.google.com
Or my little album on the Pinterest. It grows! :D Pinterest.com
When some people in the internet say that all slavs lived only in primitive dugouts - i want to laugh loudly :D
Моя генерация понимает по-русски, ну наше молодые люди ужэ не - они ни буквы незнают. Я укончил школу в 1990 г., я ужэ тожэ всё на русском непомню, ну мы Славяни всегда договоримся.
Thanks for the first link, it's nice to see the whole house. It must have taken at least 2 years to build that house.
Your Pinterest link is nice too, i like the "contemporary" one, the one from "Omsk" and the one in "winter" [which is the same house you posted here].
