remeber that this is a game thats goin to be like real life so make wepons that are common rather than a ball and chain we can still use other things but you get the point |

aye got it was just taking household items i got around my house and trying to think how to turn them into a weapon the ball idea came from a 4oz fishing weight i used for deep sea fishing with enough force or spin it could easily do damage to someones head.. but what are you thinking we will need cause i have shotguns and hunting rifles i can try and model as well as maul and a chain saw |

k will work on some and some improvised weapons that can be crafted or modified from real life stuff like a portable nail gun and makeshift spear out of a broom handle. |

Stuff you see in your surroundings can also be used to block your territory, not only for attacking purpose. Like tables,closets, chairs. Also small things in your surroundings can be thrown to the zombies, like encyclopedias, dishes, etc. All the non-attack purpose items you see in your surroundings can still be used to attack someone. |

Looks good. |

Remember, it's gonna be top-down, so there's no need for super detailed models, these look just fine in the level of detail and no one will notice a small mistake in the model... |

still semi modeling hilt finishing off grip than will add the hand guard after that's done... quick question do we want horse hair or something coming out end of pommel of the sword? Sword - finished design unless someone spots some work that needs attention

Swords Hilt-Blade edge size seems a bit off, but that may be because of the black background... |
||

There probably will be food objects in-game, most of them will be either canned food, or boxes of food (cereal), those are simple models and the texture will be placed later on, other than that, basic furniture like chairs tables and broken versions of those will probably be seen and some generic stuff, trash cans, dumpsters, lamp posts and a lot more... on a different subject, I would like to know from you who have had experience with Unity Engine, is it possible making our own software for level-making, I'm thinking of the Elder Scrolls series and their TES Construction Set if any of you are familiar with that. |
||
Nov 13 2011 Anchor | ||
not familiar with that i know that you can import textures and stuff from maya or blender if we had to could model level from ground up and come with some map or layout and try to model each level or room that way and import it in.. would take a long time tho. we really need more of story before we can go into level making and background info on the setting and town we want to place it in first to make it. not to mention if we do have quests for survivors ect we need to know exactly what they need to make sure we get those models done. after we have the level made we can make multiple leveks and link them through zones by coding after its in unity. posted a pic of a cola bottle need someone to come up with a label for it and what color of soda we want it to be Edited by: duncan_macleod08 |
