I think that may be the most gruesome album cover I've ever seen. Yet another reason why I don't listen to metal.

Description

Slipknot, possibly the best band ever. (Please, do not call them bad, that would be by your own taste you idiots).

Originally formed in 1992 as "Painface" (A name later used by Anders Colsefini). They release "The Basement Sessions" in 1992. Later went on in 1996 to release "Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat", witch is now considered a Demo. Leading up to this disk, reffered to by many as there first album, it was released in 1999. The album spreaded a few genres, be it "Nu-Metal", "Rap Metal", or Death Metal. It featured the Nine members on the front sporting there masks and jumpsuits. Most people look at the masks as a gimmick. The original meaning of the masks was so people payed less attention to there appearance and more attention to the excellent music. Lead Vocalist Corey Taylor dished out some great screams (In the track "Eyeless" You can hear his vocal cords tearing in some of the screams) and some very good melodic vocals as well as some fast rap style vocals. The album was later re-released with 1 song removed Purity, due to copyright as well as the sample based intro to Purity "Frail Limb Nursery". Due to these removals a track was added "Me Inside" witch originated on the Digipack.
