Hello my Friends!
After some weeks of hard work, we are giving you an entirely new beta, marking the start of our new release policy.
After many problems with earlier contents and patching procedures, we have decided that we will remove many unfinished or problematic content from our public releases, and only release full betas, so no more patching!
Why is this good for me, you ask?
Because you will not have any more crashes due to unfinished ship meshes or effects, and you will only get polished, optimised and finished content.
For this to happen, we have temporarily removed untextured ships, and those as well which presented heavy problems, such as the two huge Goa'uld motherships, or Atlantis. But don't worry, we will bring these ships back fully finished in our future releases! We have removed some missions that required unfinsihed ships as well, but stay cool, our top priority is to bring those ships and missions back to you for the next release. Apart from removing unfinished content, we have heavily optimised our code, removing many obsolete things, bringing you much lower load times.
But we added things as well!
We are proud to inform you that most of the multiplayer bugs have been squashed, thus you can jump into a battle anytime, without the fear of any crashes!
Mularac has put together a new mission, featuring our new choice system!
We have added several new weapon effects!
Sounds good. Downloading now. Although with my new computer, i had no problem with Atlantis.
I never had any trouble with Atlantis either... although an alkesh could just stay ahead of the drone swarms :P
I love the "lover load times" too ;-)
the problem with atlantis and the big ships are their shield. That's the thing, commander :P
I loved the atlantis shield. Can't wait for it to be better :p The homeworld 2 stargate mod has an atlantis model and now that I have problems loading. The model its self is like 50mb or something, kills the game lol, but good quality. But my favorite thing with this mod are the shields
Marhajó az összes, szép munka :D
