I like the pegasus gate better.
The whole gate spins when dialing...but yeah, it's certainly a departure from the previous styles.

yeah hey if you look on the other gates there totaly ne simbles saying that there is a new galaxy and i think that not the ancients dont own this ship, because remember in atlantis rodney says he has a locater on all ancient ships but there wasnt any showing up in a different galaxy i think this might be a ship that was givin to a different race in a treaty lol

hey maybe this might be there first gate and first made ship well it depends because i thought this ship cam over earth and they boared it lol
The show will be set on the Ancient ship Destiny, which was part of an Ancient experiment to seed the galaxies with Stargates millions of years ago but which was lost because of the Ancients' ascension. While a first ship was sent to seed the galaxies with stargates, a second ship, the Destiny, was supposed to follow a pre-programmed mission to explore these galaxies, which was left unmanned at the time of the Ancients' ascension. In order to reach this ship, an address would have to be dialled consisting of nine chevrons, the possibility of which was previously unknown. The series starts when a team of soldiers and scientists from Earth step through the Stargate to find the Destiny after their base is attacked; unable to return to Earth, they must fend for themselves aboard the ship as it takes them to the far reaches of the universe

The Destiny is very, very old. It was probably launched during or after the Ori/Lantean war. The technology, it's design coincides the way Lantean tech looked before they came to the Milky Way.
