Description

The F2000 assault rifle is a modern, modular and compact assault rifle developed by FN (Fabrique Nationale), based in Herstal, Belgium.

This weapon was adopted by certain armed forces as their new service rifle (specially Slovenia, which adopted a specific version, designated F2000S) and notably by many special forces groups from many different countries.

The 40mm underslung GL1 grenade launcher is considered to be the F2000's trademark grenade launcher (just like the M203 is for the M16).
