i'm gonna be one of "those" people and bring in titans from the game titanfall. i've always found mechs like these interesting.. i think it's because the titan is literally an extension of yourself, you move, it moves. similar to the mechs in avatar (with the blue people) i guess :) ..and maybe the terran marines as well if you've seen the intro from starcraft 2, but not really a mech, but yeah :D
They're called powersuits, hardsuits, or exosuits.
While not really mech or mecha, you could still technically group them in.
Their grouped in because they are mechanized. besides most mechs are humanoid in some resemblance.
