Report article RSS Feed Cartoon character rigging in maya

Hi, in this rigging training we go through the entire process from start to finish. We will start from scratch with just the character mes and add things like IK/FK, switching, ribbon spines and skinning. We get into some more advanced rigging methods later on like stacking deformations and node based rigging but don't worry if you're still quite new to rigging as we build this rig up part by part in easy to learn chunks.

Intermediate Animation.

This tutorial doesn't cover how to export the rig/animation to a game (something i plan to cover later) but how to create a cartoon character rig that can be used for game/animation.
