So James might be indoctrinated. Plausible. But do you think indoctrinating a douche is possible? We"ll see...

The humming is the sound of a reaper being indoctrinated by the douche...

Meh, I don't believe the Indoctrination theory. This is just fans looking for whatever proof they can find to support their own search in order to ignore their depression... It's sad but true.

I actually saw a pic of the kid with the kid being part of a model file named "harbinger_arm" or something similar. That could mean any number of things from the scene in the beginning when his shuttle gets shot down by a reaper to just the developers not really caring about what they called the file. It's hardly solid evidence.
Just like they called Miranda's model "Vixen" in ME2. It was just what the development team called her.

Actually, apparently the kid named harbinger image is faked... I'm confused now but I guess that puts an end to that theory.

i agree... Even if there is solid proof of any particular theory (hallucination, indoctrination) the ending is still bad.

In my honest opinion if the indoctrination theory is right, the game ends up being a lot worse because it means everything you did in the end of the game wasn't real and you were really sitting in a pile of rubble somewhere... Which do you prefer: Accepting that the three ****** endings actually happened? Or they didn't happen because you were indoctrinated in a pile of rubble somewhere? Pick your ******* poison...

I think that there is a chance that Bioware created a misleading game ending to keep us on the edge of our seats for the finish of the series, but regardless of the outcome with Bioware and the crappy endings they made for ME3, one fact remains:

MASS EFFECT WAS/IS AN AWESOME GAME TRILOGY!

There are few games out there today that can offer the story richness, quality gameplay/graphics (excluding obvious errors like face import issues and only one button doing everything on the PC), and player choice that Mass Effect is reknown for. Toss in the great npcs we have all come to know and love, like Garrus, Thane, Mordin, Grunt, Liara, Joker, etc, and Mass Effect almost transcends a video game as we become emotionally involved with the characters, which few games (and even movies/books) can do. Personally, I know that after Thane was stabbed by that Cerberus @A%#AR@* I tore through phantoms, mechs, and nemeses like they were nothing (completed the level from shuttle crash to elevator in 158 secs with 17 headshots).

So whatever happens, I am with Lito: Lets get some DLC Bioware!

I agree. The endings were crap (unless BioWare gives us some REAL endings), but the rest of the game was solid, and the last two games were awesome. No changing that.

Description

Now that those who have finished the game are here it has been found that during several points in the game James often asks about this mysterious humming in the background. People originally thought that it was the robotic dog but this has been disproved and the Normandy's engines are a floor above.
also People have dissected the audio/video/images from Mass Effect 3 and discovered the kid is named "Harbinger."... not the Kid, not the Catalyst... but Harbinger.
