13th Waffen Mountain Division
Great uncle was in the SS Viking division. Any time I say that someone nearby always pops in and says "You know my grandfather was a jew, right?" My reply is the same.
"I'm sorry, were you killed in the holocaust? Was I in the SS? No? Shut up."
one of those soldiers carried a British Sten submachine gun?

This is not a Waffen SS, this are the guys from 369th Croatian Reinforced Infantry Regiment, this is a picture of them taken on eastern front, near if not in Stalingrad. See the chessboard on their helmets. They were defending the Red October Factory in Stalingrad.
