Description
They are ordinary men, tasked to defend the imperium from monstrous aliens, genetically enchanced traitors and unnatural horrors, with only flak armour and lasguns with them. But there are a lot of them, so much infact, that men are more expendable than artillery or tank shells. They are the Imperial guard!
Looks like Wehrmacht...
Steel legion's favorite tactic is to blitz with chimeras, so you could say the inspiration comes from there.

actually steel legion is like wehrmacht and the death korps resemble the WW1 germans more.
