Yeah, all the stuff they said they like: swipe, slide, eye motion sensors, hand motion sensors are all fuzzy at the moment. Maybe until they perfect those then there will be a chance at gaming. Anyways what im worried about is the fact that tablets may start sending PCs down the drain in the market other then gaming PCs. I hope that while technology progresses, PCs will turn into laptops, but still able to game.
This article: the computer mouse will no longer exist because kids are too stupid to use them! (just forget about those millions of PC gamers that wouldn't even consider using a tablet instead of a mouse)
Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. If something comes along that I actually think is better than a mouse, I'll probably use it. If not, I'll still use a mouse.
And as long as people still use and buy mice, people will still make and sell mice.
*And as long as people still use and buy mice, people will still make and sell mice.*
Not quite as fool proof as you might think, sure people may still want to use them but there is a rather good chance, of the companies making the new things, for quietly phasing the mice out of circulation and replacing them with what ever they want to sell.
You can't really game without Windows either (not on a PC anyway)... and looking at Windows 8, it looks very much like they are going for an operating system designed in the same fashion as a tablet.
Mark my words, there is going to come a time when PC gamers will have to adapt to a newer system. If not in Windows 8 then in Windows 9 or Windows X (10).
[$#!T-Happens], you do have a good point, when I was looking at the Windows 8 preview I had the same thoughts. It's all getting more dumbed down and before you know it even smart people will have to live with the dumbed-down version of... well... everything really.
I hate to say it, but if you don't like dumbed down OS, go to Linux.
And before I get flamed...yes, I do use Win7 for gaming, but other than that, Linux satisfies my power computing needs. If I could break that MS umbilical cord, I would. But I love PC gaming, and all the best games are made for Windows...for now. There are some interesting games being developed for Linux using UDK and CE3!
As long as we have PC games, we will always use a mouse.
I hope so. I've had my mouse for almost 7 years now and I ******* love it! Me and that mouse have been through some tough gaming.

So for now, I'll continue using my mouse...

I ah ... um ... [eye-twitch] ... *system error* [twitch]
*system reboot initializing ... system reboot complete*
Unless they come up with a properly working neural virtual reality interface(for gaming at least), **** that noise.
