Same here. That's because of Minecraft though, it's performance really has nothing to do with your computer. I've seen people play it just fine on some crappy school computers.
ARMA 2 is a poorly optimized game. ARMA 3 might be better optimized. I know with a Geforce 9500GT (It's a shitbrick, I know.) I was getting 30ish frames in some areas and then absolutely abysmal frame drops in others. Your PC is far better than mine so you'll probably manage.
This multiplayer (which, for me, is the only reason to play the game until the full singleplayer experience is added) is unplayable for me right now because of low FPS. Hopefully this is an optimization issue.
The PIP (which is a new feature in Arma 3) was terrible when the Alpha was released, caused massive lag for me in vehicles. The render distance on the other hand works great in Arma 3, better than in Arma 2 that's for sure.
Hopefully they will optimize the game a bit more before full release. Haven't tried the Alpha in a while though there have been some updates, maybe I should.
You guys shut up... :'(
i cant even play minecraft without my pc frezeeing every 10 secs

try playing on a stronger calculator.
It's a good thing it actually runs!
Arma 2 nearly killed my system...
My computer almost imploded when i tried DayZ on Arma 2. I won't even dare to try Arma 3 lol...
I sure hope they optimized it a bit more since release. I wasn't getting 60 frames per second on Ultra... *Insert elitist whine here* =P
i've heard it will make my 680 stagger! :/
I have a 680 as well, though mine is overclocked.
not for me it isn't. runs fine on my machine. Moddb.com

********! My computer can't even run Arma 2 above low settings with a GTX 560, 6 GB of ram, and an AMD Athlon II X4 645 processor.
I know my computer isn't exactly the best, but I wish the recommended settings were more accurate when they release them.

My specs are
CPU: Core 2 quad 6600 @ 3000 MHz
VIDEO: Sparkle GTX 260 /216 core, GPU core @ 700MHz, Shader @ 1400MHz
RAM: 4GB of kindston syperx @ 1333MHz
the arma 2 runs fine on mediu.
This is why I need a newer gpu... when will the HD8970 or HD9970 come out?! the 780 is overpriced and I hope AMD will bring the price down by a bit.
I got HD 6870 and ArmA 2 & ArmA 3 run with quite good FPS on higher settings.
Damn, I hope my ARMA 3 can also visit the Minecraft world :O
arma 3 works for me but minecraft makes my comp take a s**t
