I say to you my fellow gamers. Even though we face Gaben's steam sales both today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Westwood dream. I have a dream that one day fanbases shall rise up, live out the true meaning of their creed: "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all franchises are created for our enjoyment!"
I have a dream, that one day from the burning, crapped on remains of EA, the sons of greedy corporate horrors and anime crazed weaboos will be able to sit together at the table of 40k lore. I have a dream, that one day even Bethesda, a corporation weltering with useless minecraft dlcs and poorly done story arcs, will be transformed back to its roots in over the top fantasy worlds and deep background customization.
I have a dream where one day gamers won't be made games based on the size of their wallet, but by the content of their feedback. I have a dream, that one day in the midst of a corporate world with it's viscous greed and dishonest business practices, one day kids and adults alike will join hands in jubilation of franchises made for the fans, by the fans.
I have a dream, today, a dream that one day every lore shall be exalted, every easter egg placed with nostalgic obsession, every game mechanic given the passion it deserves. The butthurt will be made giddy, and beloved IPs risen again! And the glory of Gaben shall be revealed, and all steam libraries shall download it together.
