He took the easier path
Actually, according to Wikipedia, he wasn't even accepted. Twice.
It's all the fault of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Independently of your position on his politics, Hitler was actually a good artist. I have seen some of his paintings, and they were amazing.
Not good enough apparently.
Well, google them up, and see for yourself.
I have seen them and they're not bad. But my point is the Vienna academy had a different opinion.
Actually art academies, both now and then, don't care that much about your ability to produce beautiful and well-crafted paintings. It's more about the ideas behind it and thinking out of the box. If you want to actually learn to draw and paint with great quality craftsmanship, learn to be a painter/decorator or study design or illustration, NOT art.
Art academies are mostly full of crap and really weird people. Source: a friend who studied art for a year before dropping out and doing Biology instead because of too much ********. XD
