Can we keep religion out of this group? It is something people should not interfere with.

PS:Just so you know i am NOT a Christian. And quite frankly i do agree with this.

Well the religious folk are allowed to post their "anti-atheist" pictures too if they want and we can call it even. :)

are there any good atheists jokes?

I'm christian and I have humor, but knowing there are dumb *** Christians reading the bible letter for letter, who will sure be offended by any joke about the bible...
So I think it is no good idea to make jokes of any religion, be it muslim, jew, hindu or christian!
As some people take their religion realy serious, ( i not know why) and will not laugh....
after all jokes on religious are mostly bad anyway, they insult the religion.

Why should religion be spared of this? It's just humor like any other. You are making jokes of blondes, policemen and it's the same for them as this is for you.

You should be glad we have no organ to force people as church had for centuries (inquisition).

Okay since I am a very devout Christian (and an admin for this group but I don't feel like deleting this) I shall share my opinion on this.

I would appreciate it however if after this the religious themed jokes would stop. That's ANY religion and FOR OR AGAINST it. Thank you.

10. This is a mistake that many Christians make. I personally do agree that it is a problem and should be solved. While I don't personally hold the beliefs of people of other religions or atheists I am content to allow people to believe what they want. However many Christians believe as I do and it wrong to make a discriminatory generalization about them in this way.

9. Many Christians, myself included, believe in evolution. If God exists, why wouldn't he create creatures through evolution? The claim that God created the world in 6 days can be considered true by our own concept of time today, but time is slowing (this actually has been scientifically proven). As such 6 days today could have been millions of years back then. This is a theory which I support.

8. The Trinity is never directly mentioned in the Bible. As such, myself and many Christians doubt its existance. As I said above, I don't judge people based on their beliefs (and neither should the creator of this image come to think of it).

7. Actually it wasn't just babies, it was every person who was first born. So you could be like 50 years old and if you were a living person's firstborn child you would have died. With Joshua it was commanded to wipe out civilizations due to their blatantly corrupt ways.
Also, atheists forget one aspect of Christianity... this life is not the end of life. So this life doesn't really matter so much. And a child is always innocent in God's eyes. So where those children would have lived an evil life had they grown they instead are given everlasting life. So, they were actually fortunate by Christian standards. I don't expect any atheist to understand that but it needed to be said.

6. The Holy Spirit did not impregnate Mary in the way this image suggests. Obviously the comments about Jesus demonstrate the the writer of this already has a belief about Jesus and the events surrounding his life, so it's useless to comment on that. The part about Hindus goes back to "10" again when I stated that I am content to let people beleive what they want.

5. This goes to the theory of the slowing of time. That could be used to explain why the Earth measures as millions of years old but the Jewish calendar claims it to be only about 6,000. I believe this to be a very possible conclusion. However, I am unsure at the same time. It's a hard subject to grasp. :)

4. Myself and many other Christians are unaffialiated from specific sects of Christianity. As such we acknowledge that through years of change no Bible on Earth is TOTALLY accurate. As such, we believe that people of most sects of Christianity and ourselves will still be saved, as there's no way of knowing exactly which sect is closest to God's true will. Also, there are mentions in the Bible to the possibility that some people may be able to attain salvation after they have already died (especially those who didn't get a chance to learn about God in their time here). Then again, some sects believe that all people spend some time in Hell as payment for their sins and then all people are sent to Heaven.

3. Ah ha. Using one sect of Christianity to generalize all Christians? Well you are referring to Pentecostalism and members of the Charismatic Movement. I will simply say this... speaking in tongues is generally shunned by all other Christians. And while I am, as I've said, been content to let people believe what they want. I too am quite confused as to their beliefs.

2. This assumes that prayer is always used to ask God for favors. That's all right. It's a common misconception. Prayer is "supposed" to be used as a way to thank God for those things we are given or ask God for help in troubled times. However, don't be surprised if you see someone praying to God, asking Him to help him find his car keys. A sad but true problem with many Christians.

1. I actually did "lol" at this. As it is sometimes true with people who are part of the more "mainstream" sects of Christianity. However, while many atheists have knowledge from the Bible, I have found that few comprehend the messages within them. This is simply because they've already decided that everything the Bible says is wrong. Human beings have that problem. I don't blame anyone for that.

In conclusion: These are my opinions on Faith and Christianity and the Atheists' views on us. I would appreciate it if these types of images would not be uploaded in the future and I am going to ask Skeybar to stop uploading them.

I honestly think that most of the Christian themed images should really be Catholic :P since it's most of the stuff actually applies to Catholics and not other Christians... Protestants (and other sects) broke away from the Catholics because of some of the stuff in this image...

Also the last one is true, i remember seeing a study that was done about the bible and Atheists scored the highest whereas Christians got the lowest :P...

I should also mention that this is humour so there is no reason that it should be taken down. I personally think jokes about the bible are fine, but jokes about people and their beliefs walk a fine line which most people get offended at :P whether or not it's justified is another matter, but in the case of this image it does generalize a bit too much...

All jokes about groups generalise and so on. Jokes about policemen, blondes, nations, including jews, military brains... It's just humor, and if you don't like the joke, then don't post it, but don't be angry if someone else does like it.

But on the other hand, this one is very offensive. It shows problem to solve: how much are you devout? Can you believe in science and religion together? You can't absolutely believe in both, so what are your limits in which of these?
