Yet another preview of one of my mission maps. This one is about the siege of Lake-town by the Easterlings, and it shows the climax of the battle. Everything is still WIP and needs a bit of fine-tuning. This map will be released if Edain announces an Evil Men, or preferably, a seperate Rhun faction. If for some reason the team will announce that they won't make any Evil Men faction in the future, than this map will be released after all the current factions are done. Me too, and I thought it could have become a faction to Gondor the same as the dwarf have, when you can choose three different team. It could have been the same for Gondor, that you can choose to play Arnor before and after the Mordor war or if you want to play as the new ones that are Gondor itself.
Problem with the first option is that the castle itself has to be neutral in appearance like with the Dwarves, so that the chosen faction will have it's banners displayed on the castle. Harad and Rhun are too different in architecture and technology to have a fitting castle with a neutral appearance, so I don't think the team will use the Dwarven system for them. Personally I would like them to be two seperate factions.
Or did you mean that you would like to have Gondor and Arnor to use the same system as the Dwarves xD? The problem with that lies in the spellbook; Arnor and Gondor use different spellbooks, while all 3 Dwarven subfactions share the same spellbook. This makes the Dwarven system impossible for Gondor/Arnor.

I would loved to play the old part of Arnor, so that I can play Isildur and his father. "Gondor and Arnor to use the same system as the Dwarves" Yes, that's what I meant. You can choose between the old Arnor, the new Arnor and Gondor.

Heh I'm sure it would make many Arnor fans very happy if there was a system where Arnor could be played on all maps :D.
But don't worry; Isildur, his father and the old Arnor troops are playable through the Last Alliance spell of Imladris, that should count for at least something right xD?
Indirectly it's possible, all you have to do is copy of the Arnor Ini into another map and it will create a duplicate map with Arnor, or vice versa, take an Arnor map and replace the Ini with a Gondor map's.
Yes you're right that option is also possible. It does require some work ofcourse :P.
But edain team said in the gameplay video that the "Last Alliance spell of Imladris" run of fast. You will get 1 minutes or less xD
It ends very fast, that's true, but in the beta forums it has been suggested to increase the timer. Not sure if they will do it though.
But I really hope that we get the opportunity to play the correct part of Arnor on day " Www-images.theonering.org " That would have been awesome! :D
Well you could replace the current heroes and units of Arnor with the old Arnor units via coding. The models are all present, so it shouldn't be that hard to do xP.
The voice over is actually pretty well made and the map feels good scripted too. Looking forward to play it
Thanks! I'm still experimenting with the BFME1 voices which I used here. It's kinda hard to find voices that will fit well into this mission, but there are still plenty of soundsets left that I probably haven't heard yet. In any case I will try to keep improving everything as much as possible.
