For anyone who is, plans to or already has made a computer. Here you can share tips, info and the progress of your custom builds.
This is my new build, up and fully working finally, it turned out that the RAM configuration specified by ASRock were wrong, i did a bit of mix-and-match with the sticks and got it to post.
It turns out the X79 platform is very picky with RAM placement and settings.
What's inside:
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z 16gb 1600mhz 9-9-9-24
Motherboard: ASRock X79 Extreme9 (The OC King)
OD: Samsung Blu-ray w/Lightscribe
GPU: MSI GTX560 Ti "Hawk" w/ TF-III
Cooler: CoolerMaster X6
PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty 750w
NIC: TP_Link 300mb/s W-N Card
CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 3.6ghz
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Everyone has the 560 Ti :O am i the only one not having this card xD i feel left out lol.
i think i am the only one who have the 275gtx old but good
Hey now i have 2 GTX275's in SLi ;p
and i am running ... a 680 GTX.
see this: Fc08.deviantart.net
it was my initial setup, but after i graduated i chose for the 680 :D:D coz my dad is a gamer as well xD its epic, to have an dad that "supports" me XD this one: Alternate.nl
(i had to pay 25% of the price tho...)
only 25% thats a good idea for buying a new gpu because i want the 670gtx
What are you running?
I might get another identical MSI GTX560 Ti if needed, would look killer ;)
But yea, they are a great card for the money, I got mine for only $249AU...
i dont have a 560 Ti either
i really like the ezio statue:) AC is one of the very best games ever.
Thanks, it's a little action figure I got a while back, only $20AUS :)
That's an awesome build. I love the black/red.
Thanks, all the fan lighting is custom by me, I added the LED's to the two top fans and the front fan, the GPU is stock lighting, they show you the status's of voltages throughout the card.
The Fatal1ty PSU also has stock red, that was one of the factors I considered when buying it, aside from it being a powerful unit ;)
