Tutorial for topography modeling with Blender 3D.............

With each new version of Blender 3D are added new features and tools that greatly facilitate our work in modeling and animation. But do not get some of these features so prominently in the launch simply by being developed in Python scripts. Because these features are not fully integrated into the system of Blender, but run as aids end up getting off the list of resources. Since Blender 2.49a was released, I have researched the various scripts that were added or updated to learn what each can do.

One of these scripts to help in shaping the topography and landscape design and virtual sets. The scriptis called Landscape generator and can be copied to this address if you do not have the software installed in your version of Blender. In the Blender software update, some scripts may not be updated and copied versions also in zip format.

The type of modeling performed by the script is a combination of polygonal 3d modeling and sculpting, to add detail to surfaces. To demonstrate the operation of the script, I recorded a short video tutorial showing what is needed to begin to prepare their virtual landscapes with Blender 3D.

The key to using this script is to accomplish a good amount of testing to identify the set of optimal settings for the terrain you need to create for your project. As you can see the video, the amount of information and customization that can make the tool is too large.

To create plots with more details and smoothing, increase the resolution of the initial grid we need to add the scene, taking care not to use values too high not to crash your computer. The plots are generated with a combination of the flap and Noise Effects, which determine how the land will be displayed.

The best part of this type of tool is that the generated 3D models are fully compatible with external renderers that work with Blender 3D. Therefore, the land created with it can be rendered with LuxRender YafaRay and without major problems. If you need to create scenarios and virtual landscapes with Blender, this script will greatly help in your projects.
